Representing all community activities, events and groups in Star, Fife
Star Gala generally takes place on a Saturday afternoon in summer, with events and activities for all the family, including children's races, stalls and local retailers, live music, entertainment, raffle and tombola. The schoolchildren at Star Primary School hold competitions in the run up to the event to design the programme cover and advertising posters, and local businesses and shops generously support the event with the donation of prizes for the raffle and tombola.
The Gala is organised and run by a sub-committee of Star Village Social Committee, which is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) Registered Charity no SC048230 regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), comprising a small but dedicated group of volunteers.
The event could not take place without the generous support of local residents who donate funds and prizes and who help out on the day. If you would like to volunteer to help organise the Gala or to take part helping to run the event on the day, please contact us using the adjacent form.
